2022 La Bedaudière - Rouge B

Alexandre Guillaume is one of the most exciting new voices to come out of Anjou, and we’re genuinely proud to have his wines in our portfolio. His work is defined by a light touch in the cellar, guided by sensitivity and a clear intention to let the terroir speak for itself. Production is tiny – around 1,000 bottles per cuvée – and we feel fortunate to secure even the smallest allocation.

Alexandre’s path into wine was unconventional. After studying anthropology, he trained in oenology and soon found his footing in the Loire. He spent time at La Ferme de la Sansonnière (Angeli), among others, before releasing his first solo vintage in 2022 from a parcel leased from the Angeli family, La Bedaudière. Since then, he has acquired additional vineyards, and we’re excited to follow his project in the years to come.

In the cellar, everything is handled with minimal intervention in a naturally cool underground space that encourages slow fermentations and gentle élevage. Alexandre works with patience above all else, giving each wine the time it needs to find its balance.
