Maï Roblin Bazin

Burgundy

We are extremely excited to welcome Maï Roblin Bazin into our portfolio. She was born and raised in the wine country between Meursault and Beaune, but does not, however, come from a wine family. Although 2022 is her debut vintage, the quality along with the very small quantities have already made Maï’s wine extremely sought-after.

Maï Roblin Bazin insists on cultivating her own vineyards and not buying any grapes meaning that she currently makes only a single wine from one terroir in very small quantities. After having searched thoroughly she has found a small plot in Juliénas surrounded by forest and vineyards, where biodiversity thrives, and the grass is allowed to grow.

In the cellar, Maï works with great attention to detail and lots of patience and care. Her Burgundian background is also evident as she uses whole bunch fermentation and refrains from using carbonique maceration, which is the norm in Beaujolais. The wine in her debut vintage has aged in both a single old Burgundian barrique and the rest in steel tank.

The style is deep, serious and structured, but at the same time really easy to drink. It is as far from thirst-quenching Beaujolais as you can get, and yet you keep wanting to take another sip. We receive very few bottles that we try to distribute to the best of our ability.

Unfortunately, we do not have any products in stock from this producer at the moment.
