Fiona Leroy
Fiona Leroy has no family background in viticulture, but nevertheless established herself as a winemaker in December 2017 in Dezize-lès-Maranges in the southernmost part of the Côte de Beaune. Her first vintage was 2018, and from the very beginning she has chosen a very ambitious path. Her approximately three hectares are certified organic, and in the cellar, she intervenes as little as possible. The grapes are mostly completely destemmed, the wine ferments spontaneously without any additions, only old barrels are used, just as sulphur is only added in very minute amounts after finishing malolactic fermentation or just before bottling. Fiona Leroy’s style is classic, structured and extremely serious, yet with a lightness and elegance that make for some very charming wines.
Lieu-dit recommends
Below are our suggestions for wines that are not necessary similar, but stylistically fits some of the same markers as the wine you are currently looking at. For each of the producers we work with, we have tried to answer the question: "If you like the wines from this producer, which other wines from our portfolio would be something you would enjoy?".
