Envínate

Almansa

Envínate has emerged as a collaboration between the four winemakers Roberto Santana, Alfonso Torrente, Laura Ramos and José Martínez, who met each other while studying oenology in Alicante. The collaboration began as a consulting company for other farmers, but later developed into a project where they produce wines themselves from selected and often almost impassable plots in Almansa, Ribeira Sacra, Extremadura and on Tenerife. The focus is on unique terroirs, elevated vineyards planted with old vines (several of the plots are pre-phylloxera) and overlooked local grape varieties.

In the cellar, Envínate always work with spontaneous fermentation and often with a large portion of whole grape clusters. The wine is neither fined nor filtered and the addition of sulphur in very small doses only takes place by bottling if considered necessary at all. These are extremely serious wines with a convincingly cool expression, great precision and a very distinct terroir.
