Régis Minet

Loire

Régis Minet’s father Robert Minet was a cobbler and had about three acres of vines in Pouilly-sur-Loire, which he cultivated as a sideline business. When Robert died in 1976, Régis quit his studies, took over the vineyards and expanded the domaine little by little to its current size of 11 acres. All wines ferment spontaneously in stainless steel tanks, followed by six months of ageing on the lees, also in steel tanks with only a few bâtonnages. The result is classic a Puilly-Fumé showing both typical Sauvignon Blanc character and lots of crispness and minerality.
