Alicia Basa & Mark Warner make refreshing and unmanipulated wine from exemplary cultivated vineyards in the Adelaide Hills under the name of Borachio. The wines bring out the smile and invite you to empty the glass in one big sip. Alicia and Mark began their careers in wine working for James Erskine, the man behind Jauma and one of the pioneers of natural wine in Australia. Today, the couple have established themselves as independent winemakers with their very own style. The joy of drinking and “vin de soif” are key factors here based on high-quality grapes and zero additions or manipulation in the cellar. Borachio makes light, juicy, and charming wines that are generally low in alcohol.
