Château Yvonne

Chateau Yvonne is located in Parnay, Saumur, and was founded in 1997 by Yvonne and Jean-François Lamunière. In 2007, Matthieu Vallée took over and has run the estate ever since, while keeping the name in respect for the work of the previous owners.

Matthieu works with Chenin Blanc, Cabernet Franc and Pineau d’Aaunis and the vineyards are certified organic. In the cellar the work is based on spontaneous fermentation, no fining or filtration and with a minimal addition of sulphur. The style of Chateau Yvonne is classic and with a convincing balance between concentration and elegance. The Saumur Blanc leads many people to think of Burgundy and has fooled numerous competent sommeliers in blind tastings.
