San Michele

Marco Minnucci began his career as a winemaker at Costigliole in Piedmont in 2010 and started Cascina San Michele in 2015. In addition to being a winery, Cascina San Michele also functions as a hotel offering agro-tourism.

The vineyards are located in Costigliole d’Asti between Asti and Alba southeast of Turin, where Barbera, Dolcetto, Nebbiolo, Brachetto, Bonarda and Cortese are grown. They are cared for in a strict organic manner (although Cascina San Michele is not certified) without the use of chemicals or other things that can change the natural cycle of the vines. The goal is to avoid unnecessary interference, but instead give the vines the best possible conditions to grow stronger year after year to ensure the healthiest possible yield.

In the cellar, only naturally occurring yeast is used, and Marco refrains from using additives that can change the characteristics of the wine, while only a little sulphur is added before bottling to stabilize it. This is straightforward and honest wine from Piedmont.

Unfortunately, we do not have any products in stock from this producer at the moment.
